Hi,
I have some ProLiant ML310 G5 Servers with a P400 Array Controler. I tried to update the Firmware of this Controler with CP011321.
The Result in the Log-File is:

The LOG-File says the Update failed with Code 170.
What does it mean??
If I control the Firmware the Version is the new one 6.86.
Where can I get a List of Returncodes??

I've made this procedure on 84 Systems and on 7 Systems I get the described result.
It seems, that the Firmwareupdate is correct, but what does the failurecode 170 mean?

To complete this report the following:

From another point of HP, we got the info that this error is based on old firmware versions of the connected Harddisks.
That was not the case with us. The firmware levels were up to date

Solution is that you start the update again. Then you get the following log entries:

The software is installed and up to date. The installation process does
not need to continue, however, you may still install the software.

The operation was not successful.

If you make now a reboot of the system, then the new firmware active.

There is no matrimonial just where can I get a list of error codes here.
