Flash ILO2 firmware on RHel5

Hi
I m facing a problem while attempting to install Online ROM Flash Component for Linux - HP Integrated Lights-Out 2 on the Proliant DL360 G5 with redhat 5 ,but after many attempts i have always "permission denied":

[root@boss-srv-sec-01 tmp]# sh CP011095.scexe

CP011095.scexe: line 96: ./flash_ilo2: Permission denied

[root@boss-srv-sec-01 tmp]# ls -al ./flash_ilo2

-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 75948 Jan 12 21:26 ./flash_ilo2

is there any solution please ?

Well you could create the HP firmware update CD and boot with it. I just did it and it worked fine. Only took 5 minutes.

Re: Flash ILO2 firmware on RHel5

Why not just extract the bin and use iLO to upload it? Certainly no need for reboots for that, iLO will reset after the flash...
