Flex board

I'm fairly new in my IT position, but our server has one flex board in use and I found two more extras in a cabinet....they look good to me, how would I go about trying them out to see if they work or not, right now they're just wasting space....I've got the SIMs for memory (they each hold 8)
They are socket 5 flex boards for the 1500 model.....I'f they don't work I'd just get rid of them.

Any help would be great!

Also, what virus software do you recommend for NT Server?

Re: Flex board

Do you mean processor boards? If so, you can only have ONE installed in a system at a time and they will ONLY work in a Proliant 1500 (though some lower models were used in Prosignia 300's and 500's as well).

You have to actually plug them in and install a CPU, memory... then power up to see if they can at least startup...
