FlexSMP Board
I have a FLEXSMP Board with 2 133 processors. I see that there is also a 166 board and am wondering if the only diffrance is the dip switch settings. Can I install two 5/166 processors in this board and set the dip withes for S1=ON S2=ON S3=OFF and S4=ON to support the 166 speed? The board I have is a 222925-001
Thanks
Thanks

Re: FlexSMP Board
You'll need to get the processor board that supports the 166 processors . The 166mhz cannot be installed on the 133mhz brd.

Re: FlexSMP Board
I have two ProLiant 1500's equipped with dual P5-133's. I have attempted to overclock them both by simply setting the dipswitch as you mentioned. One of the servers fails to boot at that setting but continues to work fine once the switch is restored to the orignal setting. The other overclocks just fine and is every bit as stable as it was before. Note that I have overclocked P5-133's to 166MHz. I suspect you would likely be successful with actual P5-166's.
