Re: For proliant support pack is an online of offline install recommended
Hi,
PSP is done in online and PSP contains only drivers.
Firmware maintenance DVD contains only firmware and that can be done online and offline both.
PSP is different for all the Operating System till G7. Firmware maintenance DVD is common across.

Re: For proliant support pack is an online of offline install recommended
Just to clarify - there are currently 2 different DVDs available:
- firmware maintenance DVD 10.x containing firmware for on- and offline use
- SPP (2012.06) containing PSP for online use, firmware for online and offline use (the complete DVD image only)
So it is enough to have the SPP DVD.
I would do the firmware update offline, then the PSP (drivers etc) online.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
