Force acceptance of drive into RAID on Smart Array after removal (but not replacement)

Is there a way to force a drive back into an array? The drive was removed and reinserted and the array believes it is a replacement rather than the original unit.

Re: Force acceptance of drive into RAID on Smart Array after removal (but not replacement)

Hi Oliver,

If the Disk is removed in HotPlug then it will lose the RIS information. RIS will store the array/raid informatiom. When the disk is reinstalled it will detect it has a new disk and starts rebuilding.

There is no way to Force acceptance of drive into RAID on Smart Array after removal.

Regards,
Raj.
