Gen8 servers start up icons

Hi,

Just like to find out the following:

Gen8 servers will show some blue 'icons' located on the right of the screen being enabled by default during bootup. Some of these icons will include: Intelligent Provisioning, Power Regulator, Dymanic Power Capping, etc.

Can I say by default, only the 'Smart Array Advanced' and 'iLO Advanced' will be disabled?

They will be disabled until I purchase the smart array license and iLO Advanced license respectively?

You are correct in your understanding. Also, HP SmartMemory will be enabled only if all memory modules installed are that of HP's.

I have found these icons are only "lit up" when you have the relevant hardware/software.

Installing the license from the Advanced Pack enables these features. There is a trial license you can install to test iLO
