Ghosting a DL380 G3

I need help or suggestion as to how to create a Ghost image of a DL380 G3 with a 5i controller to an external USB hard drive? I am using Ghost 8.0 but unfortunately when I attach the usb hard drive, the server automatically boots from the Cotroller and bypasses the A drive.

Why dont you use the hardware raid ??
Just take the disk and boot on the other machine ?

Could you explain? I ran the Raid Configuration Utility but still can't see the USB hard drive.

Check your boot controller order when the USB drive is attached. As soon as the server boots, go into the system config and see where the diskette drive is in the boot order (if it's there at all).

What do I need on the boot disk driver-wise to see the RAID set? I'm trying to Ghost the entire volume to a single image over the network.

Ash, are you using a boot floppy to access your external USB drive in the DL380? If so, can you tell me which USB driver you're using?

I have a boot cd that will load the USB drivers and run ghost.

You can have a look at the site i got it from, it is www.nu2.nu/pebuilder

This guy can do anything.

If you just want the drivers I will the post the CD ISO, I would do it now but I am not at work where the files are located......
