Ghostlike ASR on ML370 G3

Hi all

I'm currently investigating the following issue:

A ML370G3 working under W2003 randomly states in its IML (Once or twice every month) that it suffered an ASR, except nothing corroborates this in the system log, or even in when observing the server. Any unplanned reboot on tis production server would have made an obvious impact on the production. The alerts can be cleared in the IML, but a new one will eventually pop. Firmware, PSP are up to date.

To sum it up, it seems this server gives ASR that simply did not happen.

Any idea? Has anybody seen something like this?

No, if you are sure the server did not reboot at those times, it's very strange. We have seen "ASR detected by System ROM" in hundreds of servers, but the server did in fact reboot. If the ASR timer is not reset in 10 or 15 minutes, the BIOS generates a NMI and the processor resets.
