by the way, is this server on maintenance or still having warranty, if so, stick with the 80GB.

The only problem would be if the system BIOS does not support 48-bit LBA and it would not accept a drive larger than 137GB. This is really what I'm trying to find out - is there a hardware limitation, or has anyone tried this already?
All of our current ProLiant servers have active warranties, but this would be for a potential new server.
