HDD Support for Proliant 3000

We have few proliant 3000 servers installed and working absolutely fine. Each server has got minimum of 4 Hot-Pluggable HDDs, each of 9GB.

Now I want to upgrade this Hard Disks. What is the maximum size of the Hard Disk with which I can upgrade my server? And it would be nice of you if you can send me the part number for the same.

Thanking You,

Re: HDD Support for Proliant 3000

I am pretty sure you can use even 300 Gb drives. But you need optional drive cage because Proliant 3000 use 1.6 drives.
See attached file for part numbers.

Re: HDD Support for Proliant 3000

That is true. The 3000 came both with the Ultra cage for non-universal disks, 1.6" tall and the Ultra3 cage for Universal Disks 1" tall. Also true is the size doesn't matter, that is any available SCSI capacity is supported. If you have the Ultra3 cage, you can use the still available 286716-B22 or 350964-B22. If you have the older Ultra cage then there still is the 128420-B21 oX4 300GB and the 176498-B21 oX2 147GB 10k
