HDD Upgrade 'European' ML350G4p

Hi,
I ordered 2 146.8 GB Ultra-3-SCSI hdds for a customer.
HP quickspecs said, I need the following model:
347708-B22

The dealer now sent me two parcels with the right model no. noted on the outside of each box, but the hdd labels say: "HP P/N: 412751-015".

Can I assume that the drives are compatible with my customers server, as long as they are "wide ultra320 scsi" or do I have to return the drives because of wrong model numbers/possible compatibility problems?

Best Regards and thanks in advance for your answers.

Re: HDD Upgrade 'European' ML350G4p

Hi,

412751-015 is the correct manufacturing assembly number for sales option number 347708-B22. This is just the manufacturing reference. The Spare part number listed on the drive should be 404712-001. This may be on the white label along with the assembly number or printed somewhere at the front of the drive. "Replace with HP SP# 404712-001".

Each drive model will have at least 3 part numbers for use by different sources.
1- Sales option number (For purchase from HP reseller)
2- Assembly number (Manufacturing reference)
3- Spare Part number (For field repairs)

You can perform a Google search on 347708-B22, 412751-015 or 404712-001 and find matches for the combined numbers.

I hope this helps,

Brian
