HOW CAN DL380 G4 DISK IN DL380 G3 WORK ?
Hi,
I have a DL380 g4 Server and made it a domain controller with WIN 2K3 now i will like to fixe only the disks in an DL380 G3 .
Would it work can anyone help me ?
THERE was not no controller i used the onboard one .

When Windows OS is installed it captures the chipset configuration of the system board\controllers etc in registry and load kernel drivers according to that chipset only if you try to move the OS installed from one board to another it will most like blue screen.
Also the it will not boot because the driver with which it got installed is for a 6i Controller but when you move it to the next one it will not find 6i and hence not boot.
