Does the HP 1/8 Storagework autoloader able to read bar code label?

It`s a Ultrium autoloader.

Hi,

Since a barcode reader does not exist in this device a manualscan is recommended on all tapes that have an unknown origin. A scan
will read the tape header and recognize the tape if it was previously formatted as an Omniback tape.
