The 8 blades in the rack all are dual processor and 8 GIG ram. I have 3 W3K Enterprise, a Novell 6.5 and 3 WIN3k standard servers. All these servers only show 3.5 GIG of ram. They boot up with the memory check showing the 8 GIG. How do I correct this?

Solution
Hi there
W3K standard can only handle up to 4GB of RAM, on the other hand the Enterprise edition can handle up to 32 GB with the PAE option on the boot.ini
http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/system/platform/server/PAE/PAEdrv.mspx
HP Bios will detect all RAM cause it is design to handle it, but the OS won't.
Regards.

Re: HP BL20p G3 blade rack memory problem
I' forgot, if you enable PAE on the 3 W3K Standard, they'll recognize 4 GB instead of 3.5 GB
