HP BL460 G6 network card problem
Hi All,
We install WINDOWS Server 2008 on 2 HP BL460 G6 server after install HP Support Pack network adapters show status: Network cable unplugged.
ILO log does not contain any information about this. Windows event log contain following entry:
Event ID 2 : A network interface has failed. An Ethernet adapter status changed from OK to ERROR.
SYSTEM MANAGEMENT HOMEPAGE both adapters has status ERROR.
Blade-chasis has a GbE2c 2/3 Ethernet Blade Switch.
We try to install latest drivers and firmware on these network cards, but it does not help.
Please help.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Max

Re: HP BL460 G6 network card problem
Hi Max,
Did you verified the configuration of NIC ports in Onboad Administrator?
Are they properly mapped to GbE2c Switch?
If its a new installation then please also check whether the ethernet blade switch in installed in the correct slot.
Regards,
Tarun

Re: HP BL460 G6 network card problem
Hi,
Contact your network team to check the connectivity from the switch.
I encountered this kind of problem.
watch this support alert :

for me, the solution wasto enable your port, upgrade errdisable flap-values to 10 on the switch.
