HP-Branded Media or Retail Media?

During installation Windows Server 2008 RC2 on ProLiant DL 160 G6 what kind of Media I must select?

HP-Branded Media or Retail Media?

What difference between them?

When I select HP-Branded Media, Windows show that after 3 day she autoactivated.

Re: HP-Branded Media or Retail Media?

Hi,

If you have the OS CD which was shipped out with the server, select HP Branded Media option.

Ensure that you select the right Windows version from the list. If you have a HP Branded OS CD (OEM) then you need to select the Windows version under HP-Branded Media Option.

If the OS CD you have is not an HP branded one, then you need to select retail media.

Re: HP-Branded Media or Retail Media?

Renjiv,

Where can I download or purchase HP Branded Media for either Windows 2000 Server or Windows 2003 Server for an HP Proliant DL140? I have been looking for hours on the HP website and on the Microsoft Website.

Thank You
