HP D6020 Dual I/O Module disk enclosure with redundancy.
Hi All,
A bit info on my setup:
I have with me a HP Proliant DL380 G9 running on Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard with 2 x P441 Storage controller and a unit of HP D6020 disk enclosure with dual I/O modules installed.
I have connected one of the SAS port from one of the P441 to SAS port on the primary I/O module of drawer 1 on the D6020. And another connection from SAS port of the second P441 to SAS port on the secondary I/O module on drawer 1 of the D6020.
My issue / questions:
I am managing the D6020 using HP SSA. I can create new disk arrays using the first P441 using HP SSA, but when i click on the 2nd P441, i don't see the disk arrays that i have created earlier using the first P441. I need to do a reboot and then only both P441 can see the arrays that i have created in HP SSA. Is this normal or is there something i am missing from my setup?

Re: HP D6020 Dual I/O Module disk enclosure with redundancy.
I found in the user guide:
When directly attaching the D6000 to HP rack or tower servers, installing a secondary I/O module in the
hard drive drawer is not a valid configuration.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
