HP DL 360g4 SMart Array

Hallo,

on a 360g4 one hardisk was broken, I replace this Hard Disk with a new one and the Rebuild of Raid1 was starting, but some min. later it`s stopped, the led-light from the hard disk goes off and the crontoller status is now: "Ready for Rebuild", but nothing happend. I tried this few times but always the same message.

Please can someone help me?

Thank You

Re: HP DL 360g4 SMart Array

Check, wich HDD ID it is waiting for, and if the other disk got a problem.

Use ACU, Array configuration Utility.
for the ID

Use the SMH, System Management Homepage, to see statistics of the other drive.

Re: HP DL 360g4 SMart Array

Or have simply taken the Array Controller out of interim recovery mode?
If so, it should be possible to start rebuild from the ACU.

Re: HP DL 360g4 SMart Array

You could remove the new disk.
Do a reboot, and check that the array contoller come up in interim recovery mode.
the add the new disk.

but still do the show config, to verify ID's
