HP DL series server roadmap?

WeтАЩre looking at the newer DL G6 models with Nehalem processors.

Does anyone have any information into processor core options for DL380s? Looks like the AMD model has a Hex core option but, all Intel models only have Quad. Is Hex core for the Intel models in the works?

Also, any information for when we might see DL580 G6 models? What the memory, slot, and processor configurations might look like?

Re: HP DL series server roadmap?

Thanks but I'm looking at these for high performance ESX 4.0 Hosts and I want the Nehalem processors and faster DDR3 memory.

Thanks but, I've done plenty of research and know what I need. I was just looking for answers to the specific questions I posted. Someone must have the information:

Re: HP DL series server roadmap?

Nope. Those are DL580 G5s.

I'm looking for information on new technology. HP roadmap information on the following.

DL380 G6 Intel Nehalem hex core? Will we see this in the DL380 G6 models. Rumored from Intel are Nehalem native hex core and potentially dual-die hex core.

DL580 G6 information (i.e processor options, memory options etc.)?

Re: HP DL series server roadmap?

In the last years I never found announcements about new products coming soon, until hp said "here it is, ready to order".

But the internet has some hints, e.g.

Re: HP DL series server roadmap?

I have the same question as Brian - where's the DL580 G6? I thought it was due for release in Fall, 2009. Does anyone have any insight? Brian, did you ever get an answer?
