HP DL140 G1 disk

Hi there.
I'd like to add ATA/100 3.5" 250G disk to my DL140G1.
But according to documentation it supports max 160G.
Is it correct or I can install a new drive without problem?

Re: HP DL140 G1 disk

Electrically the 250GB will work where a 160GB would. If I were you I would connect the 250GB drive.

Those quickspecs were written in Aug 2005. Most likely at that time the 160GB ATA drive was the largest capacity offered by HP.

A BIOS limitation could prevent you from using a larger drive but I doubt this would be the case.
