HP DL320 G6 - temperature sensors failure

Hi all!

I think that some sensors in my server (HP DL320 G6) show wrong temperature, especially Temp1 (Ambient Zone) and Temp19 sensors.

Bellow is the listing of sensor's values, measurement done after 15min from the start (chassis open).

Temp1 sensor (Ambient Zone) quickly reaches critical level (46C) and powers off the server.

Do you know where are located those sensors? Can they be programmatically adjusted/reseted or maybe thresholds can be shifted?

If not, then can they be replaced/fixed without changing of mainboard?

Best Regards.

Tom.

hi,

I think that this one "Temp1 sensor (Ambient Zone)" is on the drive cage, don't know abou tthe rest.

Thanks

Re: HP DL320 G6 - temperature sensors failure

I have localized the black thin cable which goes to the right part of front panel (to LEDs and power button). The cable was a litte bit cut down, probably by unwary closing of a lid. I secured it with an electrical tape and now sensor shows +24C.

Thanks for help.

Regards.
