HP DL360 G5 Server not booting from DVD/CD ROM
Hi,
my server is not booting the HP SmartStart CD from the CD-ROM disk. I have setup the Standard Boot Order in the RBSU (v.2.10) to IPL:1 CD-ROM.
What is wrong? Is my CD not okay?
Thanks for a quick reply

Re: HP DL360 G5 Server not booting from DVD/CD ROM
hi wolfgang matheus
smartstart CD version?
the CD came with the server? or you downloaded and burn it?
as a test did you try booting from another CD like W2003 or any other bootable CD?
do you have another dl380 g5 to swap DVD units?
regards

Re: HP DL360 G5 Server not booting from DVD/CD ROM
Hi,
yes I took the original HP boot cd (no copy) and I tested the CD for the bootable function on my laptop and it works. So the CD should be fine. I have pulled out and insert the CD drive several times w/o success. I don├В┬┤t have a second unit CD drive here for testings.
The best way is to call HP support for exchange the drive.
