HP DL360 Gen8 - x64 bit bootable iso file issue

Hi,

I'm asking for help because i never seen an issue like this and i have no clue how to solve it.

On a DL360 Gen 8 server, i'm tring to boot a iso image for a Bare Metal Recovery, but it seems that the load of the image is very very slow and at one point (random points) it gets stuck. This problem is if i use a x64 bit iso file. I tried from same image vendor different versions of iso file (all x64 bit edition) but same result.

If i try same image but 32 bit edition is working without any problem (Note: both versions have ~350MB)

On another server, same type DL360 Gen 8 both versions, x64 and 32 bit edition are working perfectly.

Have anyone seen this issue before or have an ideea which might be the problem?

Thank you

Alin

Hi

Not sure if this could help, but check if the array controller driver is included while installation.

My first thought would be to update iLO firmware. I'm guessing your booting the ISO image over the iLO?  If this is the case compare the iLO versions of the working vs non working systems.
