We have a HP DL380 G3, last few days, it reported a failure of CPU1 position.
Our problem is that the fan in the CPU1 position is not spinning, because there is a failure on the system mainboard (Fan Degraded 6035).
The fan which is in the CPU2 fan position is running fine. There is no CPU2 processor in this position.
My question is: It is possible to move the cpu from position 1 (without fan) to position 2 (with fan)?
Many thanks for your help

Solutionhave a look at the maintenance and service guide for your server.
