HP DL380 G5 2.4Ghz Can I add a additional 3Ghz CPU?

Hi,

I have a DL380 G5 with a single 2.4Ghz CPU. Now I want to add a other CPU. Is it possible to add a second, faster CPU 3Ghz?

First CPU 2.4 Ghz, Second 3.0Ghz, I do have the second cpu power regulator board.

From what I know the 2nd cpu board will only allow you to run the 2nd cpu but not a cpu at the 3.0Ghz. If the server will allow you to run different procs at all (must match series) it will kick it down to the lower speed. You'd be better off buying 2 x 3.0Ghz procs and save the hassle.
