just like that....
first things first is the server up and running?
have you tried 2 DIMMS at a time?
have you tried reseating all DIMMs?
have you tried clear NVRAM?
if the server is up and running... have you tried updating System ROM?
there are too many things to try first instead

Hi
I also have a dl380 g5 and the 8 dimm amber lights are on, The server does not turn on, I have tried to turn it on with memory and without memory and it is the same
Please Help

See Carlos post above. The DL380 G5 needs at least two memory DIMMS installed in the first bank.
