HP DL380G5 Expansion
Hello. I just wanted to ask what is a preferred option for expansion of my DL380G5.
I currently have 2x146GB drives that are mirrored, Raid 10. I need to add additional space with the least amount of downtime and cost. Can I add disks into the mirror, or do I need to add a second controller and add a seperate Raid set.
Thanks in advance, my Raid sets are usually Raid 5 initially.

Re: HP DL380G5 Expansion
Hi Jennifer,
A second controller is not necessary. Install the extra drive(s) and convert to RAID 5, or simply extend your existing array.
Of course before you take any action, be sure to have a full system backup.
good luck
