SolutionHi
After decoding System Power Fault event noticed error on main VRM and SAS BP.
Hence to isolate the issue perform below action.
- Power drain the server and check the status.
Steps To Power drain the server:
i. Remove both power cables.
ii. Press and hold power button without connecting power cables.
iii. Later release power button and connect power cables and power on the server.
- Bring the server to bare minimum configuration and check the server status.
- Verify all parts one by one and if faulty part isolated then replace part accordingly.
- Disconnect SAS Backplane cable (power and data) from system board and check the server status.
- If still server is unable to power on with below System Power Fault event then issue with main VRM and system board need to replace.

Re: HP DL380P System Power Fault Detected
Thank you very much!
This is really a SAS backplane problem. I disconnected it and the server starts normally!

Re: HP DL380P System Power Fault Detected
Hello,
Try to bring the system to minimum configuration and if the issue remain the same than probably this is a system board failure.
Thanks
