HP DL385 G2 Server
Hi,
we are thinking about switching from Dell Poweredge to HP Proliant Servers.
Because we do have many Dell PowerVault storages we wonder if it would be possible to use the MD1000 SAS storages from our Dell Servers in the Proliants.
In our Dell servers we had some support problems because we added ICP Vortex controllers which were not supportet.
What is the "best practice" to use the Dell Storages in an HP Server? Which controller should be used (Dell Perc5/SAS5 or Smartarray).
Are there known problems? How will HP support react if there are general stability problems with the server?
Regards and many thanks,
Markus
