HP DL385 G6 Server - Run 6GB/s Sata

Hi everyone,

I have a P410i Array card which I understand cannot run 6GB/s Sata, therefore, it reduces down to 3GB/s for Sata drives.

If I run a Sata drive with no raid configurations, just on it's own. Will I be able to run at 6GB/s? or is their a way I can run at 6GB/s?

The single drive is not running mission critical tasks so I'm willing to take the risk if it fails (automated backups)

It doesn't reduce down to 3GB/s for SATA, that is the max speed it supports for SATA. Even if you could run the P410i in HBA mode it would still only support 3GB/s.
