Hi,

 

I need to finalize my ESXi server hardware and Want to know the 10/8/6/4  core is per processor or combination of 2/4 processor .

 

what is the total core i would get from 2 processor * 8 core server * 1 Server =

 

what is the total core i would get from 4 processor *10 core server*1 server =

 

Number of processors

2 or 4

Processor core

10 or 8 or 6 or 4

Maximum processor speed

2.26 GHZ ,10 Core

Hi, 

 

some information about the processor options available for the DL580 G7 are in the quickspecs: http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13669_div/13669_div.PDF

 

So if you have 2 CPUs and each has 10 cores, then you'll have 20 cores. 

 

Are you going to enable hyperthreading?

It means 20 physical cores - 10 per cpu, there are no 5 core cpu's from Intel.
