HP DL580 Server G2 - Parity Check 2 - System DIMM Memory
Hi,
HP DL580 Server G2
RAM: 10GB (4*2GB)+ (4*512MB)
CPU: 4*2.5GHz
HHD: 72GB
I have bought this server from eBay a week ago the seller said it was working fine, but for some reason I keep getting this error Parity Check 2 - System DIMM Memory
I have tried to change the RAM slots but don't work.
**Server Detected 10246MB of RAM Installed.
I removed the 4*2GB of RAM, worked fine. but why is it not taking the full 10GB RAM.
forgot to say 4*2GB is Bank B(Amber LED Light) and 4*512MB Install in bank B (Green LED light).
I have Upload a video to YouTube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IU8__D-fHVI
Created an album on photobucket with 11 images

Any Advise will be really helpful

Re: HP DL580 Server G2 - Parity Check 2 - System DIMM Memory
200 MHz Double Data Rate (DDR) SDRAM (PC1600 Registered SDRAM Memory with Advanced ECC functionality)
What are the part numbers of the RAM? I would check each set of RAM separate. Download memtest86 and test each group of four sticks separately. Verify they are PC1600 Registered ECC.
If Amber on 2GB, verify the ram. What are the part numbers? HP Servers are very picky on RAM. You can use HP or Axiom.
