Hello,

I need to add more disks in a HP DL580G5. I plan to buy a SAS BackPlane Expansion Option Kit (452180-B21) but I don't know if I need to order an additional SAS cable.

You will need two additional cables for the new backplane. You will also likely need another controller. If you want to run the additional drives off of the same P400 which is already in the server, then you will need the SAS expander card (468406-B21) option in order to do that.
