HP DL585 G7 Hypertransport speed?
The documentation seems to be a bit at arms with itself - I see HT 3.0 listed more than a few times but many of the bandwidth and performance numbers indicate 25.6 GB/s per socket at 6.4 GT/s.
Does anyone know the actual HT speeds of the DL585 G7 (this particular machine is configured as a 4P server with four 6176SE processors).
For reference I've looked at this (along with many other links, but page 5 specifically is confusing): http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=19&ved=0CEsQFjAIOAo&url=http%3A%2F%2Fh20000.www2.hp.com%2Fbc%2Fdocs%2Fsupport%2FSupportManual%2Fc02715210%2Fc02715210.pdf&rct=j&q=amd%20sr5690%20pcie%20maximum%20payload%20size&ei=hGn2TfHHPI6ltwfKksyGBw&usg=AFQjCNFYZ0BrRN8O14zyD-x-RrZaGR0_Hg&cad=rja
Thanks!!!

Re: HP DL585 G7 Hypertransport speed?
Since I can't edit - 25.6 GB/s per LINK, not per socket. Sorry for any confusion.

Re: HP DL585 G7 Hypertransport speed?
After digging through documentation from AMD it seems that the SR5690 northbridge doesn't support HT3.1...so I guess that closes this case.
I have another question but I'll start a new thread for it.
