Hello,
- I have just bought HP DL80 Gen 9 (Dynamic Smart Array B140i), HP Smart Array P410 Controller ( no battery) and 4 SATA HDD. For testing, I configure RAID 1 on built-in Dynamic Smart Array B140i then install W2k12 and it's worked.
- To configure RAID on P410, I disable B140i and on HP Proliant Boot screen, Smart Array is not checked as Pic 1 and RAID CONTROLLER P410 is not showing in System Configuration as Pic 2. To create RAID on P410 then I use Intelligent Provisioning and Smart Storage Administrator as Pic 3. I had created RAID 1 on P410 and install Win2k12 on it, windows installation process is completed but after restarting it could not boot. I think it have problem boot in windows, I use Windows Repair but it not found any OS. I also create RAID 0 on P410 but could not boot.
On UEFI:
+ P410 could not access Array Utility as Pic 5
On Legacy Bios:
+ P410 could access Array Utility as Pic 5
I don't know whether P410 is compatible with DL80 or not ? or is P410 only support Legacy boot ?
Anyone can help me fix problem ?
Thank you. I appreciate your help
Sang

HP Smart Array P440/2GB FBWC 12Gb 1-port Int SAS Controller 820834-B21
NOTE: Includes the HPE Smart Storage Battery.

Cable kits
HP DL80 Gen9 LFF Smart Array P440/P840 SAS Cable Kit 779619-B21
NOTE: One cable kit must be selected with P440 controller.
NOTE: Two of these cable kits must be selected with P840 controller.
HP DL80 Gen9 LFF Smart HBA H240 SAS Cable Kit 779622-B21
