Re: HP DL980 G7 Power redundancy configuration
We just deployed two DL980 G7 servers. I made the same inquiry about power redundancy and power cabling to my HP account team.
The answer I got back is that all power supplies connect to a common power bus within the server. So, in an A-B power topology, four (4) power supplies should connect to power source A, and four (4) should connect to power source B. It doesn't matter which four (4) power supplies are connected to power source A and which are connected to B. It just matters that four (4) power supplies are connected to each power source.
