HP Dl580G7 - issues with NC375i - NC375T
hi all,
we have been experiencing some issues with VM losing connectivity. The esxi host in question is running on HP DL580G7 hardware.
I believe that there has been inumerous issues with these cards, but these were back in 2012:
plus few threads
~ # vmware -lv
VMware ESXi 5.5.0 build-1746974
VMware ESXi 5.5.0 GA
NIC cards are:
NC375i
~ #ethtool -i vmnic0
driver: nx_nic
version: 5.5.636
firmware-version: 4.0.527
bus-info: 0000:04:00.0
NC375T
~ #ethtool -i vmnic10
driver: nx_nic
version: 5.5.636
firmware-version: 4.0.530
bus-info: 0000:08:00.2
I have used VUM to pull all the updates from HP vibsdepot. Applied all patches through remediate (HP ESXi 5.x Complete bundle, HP ESXi 5.x Management Providers bundle, HP ESXi 5.x Utilities bundle, HP ESXi 5.x NMI bundle).
However upon checking the driver/firmware the are still the same....
From VMware website I can see that there is a newer driver/firmware for:
NC375i - driver 5.5.639 - firmware: 4.0.595
VID: 4040
DID:0100
SVID:103c
SSID:705a
NC375T - driver 5.5.639 - - firmware: 4.0.595
VID: 4040
DID:0100
SVID:103c
SSID: 1740
I was wondering what you guys would suggest in this scenario? Use VMware provided drivers???
thanks, rzg51

Re: HP Dl580G7 - issues with NC375i - NC375T
Hi,
If you see the HP Drivers site for this driver, it redirects to VMware site to download the driver.
HP has not yet listed the 5.5.639 version on their download site.
I would use the drivers from VMware site.
Thank You!
I am a HP employee

Will it be available on vibsdepot in October?
