HP Gen10 Servers -System Management Homepage??

I support around 50 HP servers from Gen6 up to Gen9 and we've always used the HP Array Configuration Utility and System Management Homepage to check system health etc, but I know how understand this isn't compatible with Gen10.

We have the Smart Storage Adminsitrator installed however what software should we be using to check the server health? This is on HP ML110 Gen10 and HP Microserver Gen10 (using Marvell Storage Utility).

I've tried running the HP Proliant Support Pack 2018-03 and Insight Manager but neither seem to give me the information I require so any assistance would be gratefully received!

Re: HP Gen10 Servers -System Management Homepage??

gen10 supports agentless management only.

have a look at insight rs, ILO amplifier or even oneview to manage them in a single view.

Hope this helps!

Re: HP Gen10 Servers -System Management Homepage??

Thank you for your response, however I don't want a single view of all the servers. We are a MSP and would like to have a health view for each individual server on the server itself rather than a central panel, much like SMH used to allow. It appears to me that the 3 products listed don't offer that, especially when I look at OneView and it offers it for HyperV only? I am looking to use this on physical servers.

load 'AMS' on the server and you can get all health and system information you need from the iLO web interface.

Refer the advisory https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-a00022827en_us HPE has stopped supporting Agent based Monitoring for Gen10 Servers i.e. No SMH or Insight Management Drivers available for Gen10 Servers. Customers need to use the following options for Monitoring Gen10 Servers:

Centralised Monitoring Console for all Gen10 Servers

  • IRS
  • OVRS
  • SIM
  • ILO Amp Pack
  • ILO Mobile App

Localised Monitoring on the Server:

  • ILO5
  • ILO Amp Pack on the Server OS

I love how HPE and others go in a direction that nobody asked for.

What if you are not using ILO?
How to get all that information locally?

Re: HP Gen10 Servers -System Management Homepage??

But why not using ILO?

ILO is alive even if the server dies, in most cases at least.

There are many management tools working with ILO as source of information.

Hope this helps!
