HP LTT + Smart Array P400 + Ultrium 448 SAS
Hello,
we have ML350 G5 server with additional SA P400 controller. Ultrium 448 SAS is connected to one port of this controller. HP LTT do not see neither P400 controller nor Ultrium and backups didn't work. By HP this configuration (P400 + Ultrium 448 SAS) is supported. When I connected Ultrium to additional 8-port SAS controller, HP LTT saw this drive. By the way, in ADU report (SA P400)there is message:"Controller firmware requires an upgrade. Please upgrade firmware using a ROM Flash Component available on hp.com", though firmware is latest 2.08. Where can be a problem?

Re: HP LTT + Smart Array P400 + Ultrium 448 SAS
Check if you have the disks and LTO on the same controller and SAS chanel. If yes then put the LTO on a separate chanel.
If that already is the case then there might be a problem with the P400.
