Where does it fail? what is on the screen? Try removing all the cards in the slot and see if it continues? Did you upgrade the firmware just before it started acting up? What changed? I have seen a firmware upgrade corrupt components and cause this.

Re: HP ML115 Wont Boot

I figured it out. I replaced the heatsink and its working now. It was probably just the fan but I didn't like the old heatsink anyways :)

Re: HP ML115 Wont Boot

Did you replace it with a Non hp heatsink?

If so which one?

I need to do the same with my server but I can't get the one I purchased to work, it does what yours did.

Re: HP ML115 Wont Boot

HP heatsink is designed to work in the chassis properly. Be careful with non-HP heatsinks and fans. If the fan is not recognized the server shuts down to protect the CPU.
