HP ML310 G5 with more than 8GB of RAM

Hello, I have an HP ML310 G5 with 8Gb of RAM (the maximum of RAM officially supported).

I need to expand the RAM at least to 12GB.

Is there anyone can tell me if is it possibile also if it's not officially supported and what is the right choice for the the modules to use?

The specs says 8GB RAM is the maximum.
