HP ML350 G5 Raid Array Question using SAS Drives

What are the steps to resize the C drive in a raid 1-0 config using an E200i Controller. I wish to allocate the remaining unused drive space to my C drive.

Any and all info would be very helpful.

Windows will not allow you to resize the C: drive as it's the system partition. You'll have to use a 3rd party tool to do it.

Acronis Partition Manager is the tool we use, but it has a cost.

There are some other linux tools out there that allow it, but they don't offer the paid support you'd get with acronis.

Thank you for the info. That is what I thought my problem is. I looked at the site and you are correct. It is a very costly product. Are there any other software solutions that might be sutiable for my issue?

Re: HP ML350 G5 Raid Array Question using SAS Drives

There are several partition managers. Some are free (including some Linux Live CDs).

The functionality & the results may vary from product to product. So be sure to backup your data before taking up any resize operation.

This page lists out the different partition managers available.

The other way would be to backup everything, reconfigure RAID using ACU with the desired disk space(s).
