HP ML350G6 won't start with usb disk attached

The ML350G6 server we use won't power on if there is an usb disk attached to it. It tries to power on 3 times, powering vents ecc but then stops, no bios nothing. Front LED2 (health) is red in critical state but no led on mainboard stays amber to identify issue. Unplugging the usb makes the server start normally, no warnings or errors, usb disk works fine after. This issue does not happen with restarting the server only at power up. Any clues?
Thank you

Hmm,
- try firmware update for server, could help.
- check usb setting in bios - maybe trehe is something "wrong"

Did firmware upgrade with offline dvd, some components were updated but nothing changed, the issue stays the same...

Re: HP ML350G6 won't start with usb disk attached

Resolution : In G6 servers, RBSU (BIOS) has an option to disable "Legacy USB". When Legacy USB Disabled is selected, all USB ports are enabled under a USB-aware OS, but USB is not supported during POST or RBSU. Legacy USB Disabled also disables iLO 2 virtual devices.

Boot the server to RBSU
System Option >> USB options >> USB Control >> Legacy USB Disabled.
