HP ML370 G5 server .. Intermitent restart with blue screen
Hi,
We have installed 5 HP ML 370 G5 servers. The servers are with windows 2003 r2 with sp2. the servers restart intermittently with blue screen. it happens in 2 days or three days or sometime in the night .
System management shows following error
Blue Screen Trap (BugCheck, STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x00000000, 0xD0000002, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)) and Blue Screen Trap (BugCheck, STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x8089C4BB, 0xB8F3C7FC, 0x00000000))
We have updated psp to 7.8 and updated the bios to latest. still problem persists. at the time of blue screen it show bsnd52.sys have some problem.

Hi,
You might have a variant of the HaxDoor virus...
See this Microsoft support page.

We have similar problems on all of our ML370 G5s running x64. Only fix we have so far is to remove SP2

Re: HP ML370 G5 server .. Intermitent restart with blue screen
I have a ML370 G4 Server 2003 (not R2) with similar problems (BSOD with 0x000000D1 but my memory dumps are reported as corrupt so cannot identify the faulty driver). I assume your server was stable before SP2, mine was.
Started with PSP 7.7 and applying all the PSP 7.80a made no difference to me. BIOS update no difference.
Yet to try
a) Forcing the NIC firmware update to 2.1.0.5B (http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/27259.html) as it reports it is the same as loaded PSP 7.80a which came out before the update
b) Disabling TOE (TCP Offset Engine)
c) Re-applying PSP 7.80a (not likely as it happened with 7.7)
Other people have some success with fiddling with teaming (assuming you have this) see http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1128223&admit=-682735245+1181371760599+28353475
Have seen a reference to 'lazy Interrupt Request Level (IRQL) handler that seems to have some bad influence on otherwise diligent servers' in SP2 but not had time to dig into this.
