HP NC364T 4th port issue

Have a customer that has a DL380 G5 with a
HP NC364T PCI Express Quad Port Gigabit Server Adapter.
As soon as he connects all four ports the
number 1 port will goto 10Mb interface.
they have the latest drivers and firmware
the NIC has been replaced ones already. Went through
the known articles of the G5 and teaming
even tried without teaming and the issue is still
there

Re: HP NC364T 4th port issue

hi

Which teaming are you using NFT, SLB, Automatic, ...?

so when all the ports are being used the port number 1 runs at 10 Mb?? Am I right?

you mean firmware 8.0 and proliant support pack 8.0 too?

have you tested NIC Card in another slot?

Hello,

They are using Dynamic with fault tolerance.

Yes when all 4 ports are used port 1 will goto 10 Mb.

Firmware and PSP 8.00 have been installed.

The NIC has been tested in another slot.

Here is a link to a screenshot of the teaming properties;

Re: HP NC364T 4th port issue

hi

two more questions

apart from that NC364T do you have any other PCI card in your server?

have you tried another type of NIC teaming instead of dynamic? I know you need that one but for test purposes??

have you run the NCU diagnostics?

Re: HP NC364T 4th port issue

HI,

Failed (Rx Path) â the team member is not receiving packets.

Have you tried to swap ports in the switch? just to check if RX failure follows the switch port or the NIC port

also, does the switch supports this feature with 4 ports?
