I am seeing the exact same issue when I first build my servers. Same 460c's. Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem. I've upgrade all to the last firmware version but still cannot start the network adapters!!

Any suggestions?

Re: HP NC373I virtual bus device on BL460c G1

Solution: I've installed psp-7.60.w2k3.i386.exe and force to downgrade all newer components.
Then I've upgraded all the other sw again except Network drivers and Network utility.

Re: HP NC373I virtual bus device on BL460c G1

Same issue occurred on a BL465c G1 blade when PSP 8.0.0 was installed - lost the NICs as well.

When a re-install of the NICs was attempted, the same message was received:

"Installation failed on at least one device. One of the devices may have
been deleted through Device Manager and a reboot may be necessary to
complete the driver installation for this device.

HP Virtual Bus Device installation failed."

The only way the NICs were re-added was by installing the original drivers from the C:\$oem$\$1\drivers\net directory from when the box was imaged.

This must be a bug. Hope someone from HP is reading this.

Because I do not se the option to downgrade to 7.60 as an option.

Delete the wdf01000.sys from c:\windows\system32\drivers\, and then run the package.

Hi!

I had this same problem; but mine was with permissions.

In gpedit.msc
- Local computer Policy
- Computer configuration
- Windows settings
- Security settings
- Local policies
- User rights Assignment
- Take ownership of files or other objects

My local administrator was NOT in this Setting.

Added my user here and administrators in the domain gpo - and a reboot.

Worked after the boot.
