Re: HP NC373I virtual bus device on BL460c G1
When a re-install of the NICs was attempted, the same message was received:
"Installation failed on at least one device. One of the devices may have
been deleted through Device Manager and a reboot may be necessary to
complete the driver installation for this device.
HP Virtual Bus Device installation failed."
The only way the NICs were re-added was by installing the original drivers from the C:\$oem$\$1\drivers\net directory from when the box was imaged.

Re: HP NC373I virtual bus device on BL460c G1
I had this same problem; but mine was with permissions.
In gpedit.msc
- Local computer Policy
- Computer configuration
- Windows settings
- Security settings
- Local policies
- User rights Assignment
- Take ownership of files or other objects
My local administrator was NOT in this Setting.
Added my user here and administrators in the domain gpo - and a reboot.
Worked after the boot.
