HP NC7770 Adapter showing as [?]
Hello,
I have two HP NC7770 Gigabit Server Adapters in an ML530 G2. They are teamed for load balancing.
One lists as follows : [1]HP NC7770 Gigabit Server Adapter Slot 1 Bus 1
The other lists as follows: [?]HP NC7770 Gigabit Server Adapter #2 Slot 2 Bus 1
I am concerned that the second nic shows as [?]. Other than this the team "seems" to be "normal".
Can anybody tell me why this may be? I have tried reading the literature from HP but do not see this specific issue. Our server guy has broken and recreated the team and it did not fix it.
Thanks in advance,
RWU

Re: HP NC7770 Adapter showing as [?]
Hi:
The only thing I can think of suggesting is to go here:
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/family/model/3991.html?submit.y=6&submit.x=9тМй=en&cc=us
select your OS, then download/install any newer BIOS, firmware, software, driver, etc. that might be related.
Make a great day!
Roger

Re: HP NC7770 Adapter showing as [?]
I realize it can be frustrating when the manufacturer cannot explain why their software does what it does. I think maybe HP doesn't know what this means.
If it "seems" to be working "normal" Chef Nicki suggests a Salisbury steak and forget about it.
