Re: HP NCU

We use WSUS for Windows Updates and our servers are not set to install without our authorisation first. I have installed some updates on one of the servers but the problem was evident before this. The other server with no updates has the problem.

No firmware updates have been applied to anything.

Nothing else has been plugged into the UPS.

No new bulbs have been installed.

Re: HP NCU

Are both servers connected to the same Switch?

Do you have other DL380 servers, connected to the same or other switches, that do work right?

Try moving the servers to other switcports or switches.

Re: HP NCU

Hope this is clear enough:

Syntax: ServerNo/CardNo/CardPortNo > SwitchNo/SwitchPortNo

SR1/CA1/PT1 > SW1/PT1
SR1/CA1/PT2 > SW1/PT3

SR1/CA2/PT1 > SW2/PT1
SR1/CA2/PT2 > SW2/PT3

SR2/CA1/PT1 > SW1/PT2
SR2/CA1/PT2 > SW1/PT4

SR2/CA2/PT1 > SW2/PT2
SR2/CA2/PT2 > SW2/PT4

I have 2 quad port NIC cards in each server, and each team is made up of 1 port from each card to sustain entire card failure. I have tried moving ports around on the switches with the same problem.

Re: HP NCU

Forcing the teams from Automatic to SLB or TLB fixes the problem, on both servers.

So something must be amiss with the Automatic team selection algorithm.
