HP P410 RAID adapter for Proliant Gen8 Server
hallo,
I use HP Proliant DL380e Gen8 server
and would like to upgrade it with hardware left from older servers
I mean RAID card left from HP Gen6 server - P410 with 512MB cache and BBWC
I successfully physically installed RAID card P410 into Gen8 server
and even pick up RAID data from my HDDs left from
entry level HP Dynamic Smart Array b120i adapter
in any case P410 RAID adapter was re-configured with Intelligent Provisioning
and new RAID arrays was successfully re-created in same size as it was before
Gen8 server successfully pick up P410 adapter for boot priority in BIOS
but unfortinally I found out that P410 RAID adapter
was unable to indicate correct activity on HDDs LED lights
firmware upgrade of P410 RAID adapter didn't solve this problem ((
any ideas on fixing minor bugs on supporting HP hardware on HP hardware?
best regards,
Tallinn
